About Comprehensive Women’s Imaging and Diagnosis
Radiological Associates of Sacramento (RAS) has two comprehensive Breast Imaging Centers, one in downtown Sacramento and one in Roseville. We also perform breast imaging studies at five of our other facilities, for your convenience. RAS introduced the Sacramento area’s first stereotactic breast biopsy unit and the first MRI-guided breast biopsy.

You can schedule a DEXA scan, to screen for osteoporosis, at seven of our facilities. For women who have suffered a vertebral compression fracture, your doctor may recommend an interventional radiology procedure called vertebroplasty, in which the affected bone is strengthened with a special type of cement. This procedure is performed without surgery by a specialized interventional radiologist.

For gynecological concerns, we offer hysterosalpingograms to check for fallopian tube patency, and pelvic and obstetric ultrasonography. In addition, physicians sometimes order a pelvic CT or MRI scan to investigate symptoms. A new procedure called uterine artery embolization is performed by RAS radiologists to treat uterine fibroids without surgery.

We are confident that you will find a service that you need, in a comfortable and professional atmosphere, at a Radiological Associates of Sacramento facility.
